New Majority Project

The revised Minnesota budget forecast is projecting a shortfall for next year. Before the politicians dig deep and raise our taxes, it's time to look at our state budget, from top to bottom, and use this as an opportunity to reform government and cut spending.

Adding new stories to a house with a crumbing foundation makes no sense, whether it's your House or the State House. By January, the New Majority Project, working in conjunction with citizens, organizations, and smart folks from across the spectrum, we hope, will identify more than enough budget savings to balance the budget.

More important than just balancing the budget, we will put Minnesota on the path to better, more efficient government that more capably serves the needs of all Minnesotans.
