John McCain understands that America's horribly misguided, irreparably broken farm policy must be fixed. Like President Bush, Senator McCain would veto the awful farm bill winding its way through the Democrat Congress. In this time of record farm prices and dramatically higher food prices, it's a shame more politicians from both political parties don't share Senator McCain's principled courage and make long-overdue change to American farm policy. Gas is $3.50 a gallon and politicians are ready to lock up oil company executives. Milk is $3.50 a gallon and the same politicians can't shovel our money to the farm lobby fast enough.
